- 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- After rinsing the chickpeas, pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
- In a medium bowl, toss the chickpeas with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper until evenly coated.
- Place the chickpeas in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to do this in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
- Air fry the chickpeas for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.
Notes
- For extra flavor, try adding different seasonings such as cumin, curry powder, or nutritional yeast.
