Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together the milk, sugar, cornstarch, and salt until smooth.
  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture starts to thicken and bubble.
  3. Once thickened, remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and butter until smooth.
  4. Pour the pudding into serving dishes and let it cool to room temperature.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
  6. Before serving, top with fresh fruit of your choice.
