These tender slow cooker BBQ ribs are coated in a sticky smoky sauce that will have everyone coming back for seconds.


Ingredients

  • 2 racks of baby back ribs
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite)
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and trim any excess fat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs, ensuring even coverage.
  4. Place the ribs in the slow cooker, standing them up if necessary.
  5. In another bowl, combine BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce.
  6. Pour the sauce mixture over the ribs, making sure they are well coated.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the ribs are tender.
  8. Once cooked, carefully remove the ribs from the slow cooker and place them on a baking sheet.
  9. Preheat your oven broiler.
  10. Brush the ribs with additional BBQ sauce and broil for 5-7 minutes until caramelized and sticky.
  11. Serve warm, drizzled with more BBQ sauce if desired.

Notes

  • For extra smoky flavor, consider adding smoked wood chips to the slow cooker.
  • These ribs pair well with coleslaw and cornbread.
