  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Remove the membrane from the back of the spare ribs for better flavor absorption.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. Rub the spice mix all over the spare ribs, ensuring an even coating.
  5. Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil and cover them tightly with foil.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours until the ribs are tender.
  7. Remove the ribs from the oven and brush them generously with barbecue sauce.
  8. Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and return the ribs uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes, until the sauce is caramelized.
  9. Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to use your favorite barbecue sauce for extra flavor.
  • For an extra smoky flavor, you can finish the ribs on a grill after baking.
