- 2 racks of spare ribs
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Remove the membrane from the back of the spare ribs for better flavor absorption.
- In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Rub the spice mix all over the spare ribs, ensuring an even coating.
- Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil and cover them tightly with foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours until the ribs are tender.
- Remove the ribs from the oven and brush them generously with barbecue sauce.
- Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and return the ribs uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes, until the sauce is caramelized.
- Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Feel free to use your favorite barbecue sauce for extra flavor.
- For an extra smoky flavor, you can finish the ribs on a grill after baking.
