A quick and easy recipe for classic Sloppy Joes that are perfect for a weeknight dinner.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hamburger buns
- Pickles for serving (optional)
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and onion until the meat is cooked through and the onion is soft.
- Drain excess fat and return the skillet to the heat.
- Stir in ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Simmer for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is heated through and slightly thickened.
- Serve the meat mixture on hamburger buns and top with pickles if desired.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
- Add bell peppers or celery for extra veggies in the mix.
- For a spicy kick, add a dash of hot sauce or cayenne pepper.
