- 8 oz linguine or spaghetti
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese, and season with salt and pepper.
- Add the cooked pasta and shrimp back to the skillet. Toss to coat everything in the creamy sauce.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and red pepper flakes if desired. Serve immediately.
