Description
A refreshing and fruity raspberry sorbet that is easy to make and perfect for hot summer days.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups fresh raspberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine the sugar and water over medium heat. Stir until the sugar is dissolved, then remove from heat and let cool.
- In a blender, combine the raspberries, sugar syrup, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.
- Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove the seeds, pressing down with a spatula to extract as much liquid as possible.
- Pour the raspberry mixture into a shallow dish and place it in the freezer.
- Every 30 minutes, stir the sorbet with a fork to break up any ice crystals. Continue this process for about 2-3 hours, or until the sorbet is firm and scoopable.
- Serve the raspberry sorbet in bowls or cones and enjoy!
Notes
- You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar to the syrup according to your taste.
- For a more intense raspberry flavor, use frozen raspberries if fresh are not available.
