Description
These classic Pigs in a Blanket are the perfect party food! Juicy cocktail sausages wrapped in flaky pastry, baked to golden perfection. Easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser!
Ingredients

- 1 pound Cocktail sausages
- 2 sheets Puff pastry sheets
- 1 Egg wash (egg beaten with 1 tbsp water)
- to taste Salt
- to taste Pepper
- as needed Mustard or ketchup (for dipping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface and cut each sheet into strips, about 1 inch wide.
- Place a cocktail sausage at one end of each strip and roll it up tightly, sealing the edges with a little egg wash.
- Arrange the rolled sausages on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving some space between each one.
- Brush the tops with egg wash and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Serve warm with mustard or ketchup for dipping.
Notes
- You can use crescent roll dough instead of puff pastry for a different texture.
- Feel free to add cheese or other fillings inside the roll for extra flavor.
- These can be made ahead of time and frozen. Just bake them straight from the freezer, adding a few extra minutes to the baking time.
