Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup (40g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup (65g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup (125g) creamy peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar until well mixed.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
  4. Stir in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined.
  5. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan and smooth it out.
  6. In a small bowl, microwave the peanut butter for about 20 seconds until it’s pourable.
  7. Drizzle half of the peanut butter over the brownie batter in the pan.
  8. Pour the remaining brownie batter over the peanut butter layer and smooth it out.
  9. Drizzle the remaining peanut butter on top and use a knife to swirl it into the batter.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
  11. Allow to cool in the pan before slicing into squares.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add chocolate chips to the brownie batter.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
