  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

This delicious peach cobbler recipe features juicy peaches surrounded by a buttery, flaky crust. It’s a classic dessert that’s perfect for summer gatherings or cozy evenings at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine sliced peaches, 1/2 cup of sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Toss to coat evenly and set aside.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and remaining 1/2 cup sugar. Stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until just combined.
  4. Pour the peach mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Spoon the batter over the top of the peaches, spreading it evenly.
  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm, preferably with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!

Notes

  • You can use frozen peaches if fresh aren’t available; just thaw and drain them before use.
  • For an extra touch, consider adding a sprinkle of brown sugar on top before baking.
