Ingredients

- 2 cups water or milk

- 1 banana, sliced

- 1 apple, diced
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- Nuts or seeds for topping (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, bring water or milk to a boil.
- Add salt and rolled oats to the boiling liquid.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats are cooked and creamy.
- Remove from heat and let it sit for a minute to thicken.
- Serve the oatmeal in bowls and top with sliced banana, mixed berries, and diced apple.
- Drizzle honey over the top and sprinkle with cinnamon and nuts or seeds if desired.
Notes
- For creamier oatmeal, use milk instead of water.
