Description
Juicy beef burgers topped with sautéed mushrooms and melted Swiss cheese, served on a toasted bun.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 4 burger buns
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lettuce, tomato, and condiments of choice (optional)
Instructions
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms and sauté until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Divide ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape into patties. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each burger and cover to melt.
- Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf and tomato slice on the bottom bun, followed by the patty with melted cheese, and top with sautéed mushrooms. Add condiments as desired and serve.
Notes
- Feel free to add your favorite toppings like avocado or grilled onions.
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
- Make sure not to overcook the burgers to keep them juicy.
