  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the melted butter and granulated sugar until combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. While the cake is baking, prepare the frosting. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the chocolate chips and heavy cream. Stir until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth.
  9. Once the cake is done, remove it from the oven and immediately sprinkle the mini marshmallows on top.
  10. Pour the warm chocolate frosting over the marshmallows, spreading it evenly.
  11. Allow the cake to cool before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

  • For an extra touch, you can drizzle additional chocolate sauce on top before serving.
