Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 46 lemons)
  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves, packed
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices and mint sprigs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the fresh lemon juice, mint leaves, and sugar. Blend until the mint is finely chopped.
  2. In a large pitcher, combine the mint-lemon mixture with the cold water. Stir well until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if desired.
  4. Serve over ice cubes and garnish with lemon slices and mint sprigs if desired.

Notes

  • For a sweeter lemonade, let the mixture sit for a few hours in the refrigerator to allow the flavors to meld.
  • You can also add sparkling water instead of still water for a fizzy version.
