- 4 medium potatoes
- 1 cup ground beef or pork
- 1 medium, finely chopped onion
- 2 cloves, minced garlic
- 1 large egg
- 1.5 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon, chopped parsley
Instructions
- Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, then drain and mash them.
- In a skillet, sauté the onion and garlic in butter until translucent. Add the ground meat, cooking until browned and fully cooked. Season with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, egg, and flour. Mix until a dough forms.
- Take a portion of the dough and flatten it in your hand. Place a spoonful of the meat mixture in the center, then fold the dough over to seal the dumpling.
- Repeat until all the dough and filling are used.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the dumplings in batches until they float to the surface, then let them cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and serve hot, garnished with parsley.
Notes
- You can use leftover meat or a variety of ground meats for the filling.
- For extra flavor, add herbs or spices to the meat mixture.
- Serve with sour cream or a dipping sauce if desired.
