Mango Sorbet: 3 Steps to a Refreshing Summer Treat

  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

This refreshing mango sorbet is a perfect treat for hot summer days, made with ripe mangoes, sugar, and a splash of lime juice. It’s easy to make and requires no ice cream maker!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe mangoes, peeled and pitted
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) water

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the mangoes, sugar, lime juice, and water. Blend until smooth.
  2. Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness or acidity by adding more sugar or lime juice if needed.
  3. Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and place it in the freezer.
  4. Every 30 minutes, stir the mixture with a fork to break up any ice crystals. Repeat this process for about 3-4 hours until the sorbet is firm and fluffy.
  5. Once ready, scoop the mango sorbet into bowls and serve immediately. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Make sure to use ripe mangoes for the best flavor.
  • If you have an ice cream maker, you can churn the mixture instead of using the manual freezing method.
