Description

A classic New England lobster roll featuring fresh lobster meat, lightly dressed and served in a buttery, toasted roll.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound cooked lobster meat, chopped
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 New England-style hot dog buns
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, for toasting
  • Lettuce leaves for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the chopped lobster meat, mayonnaise, lemon juice, chives, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add butter to the skillet and allow it to melt.
  3. Slice the hot dog buns down the middle, being careful not to cut all the way through, and open them up.
  4. Place the buns in the skillet, cut side down, and toast until golden brown.
  5. Remove the toasted buns from the skillet and fill each bun with the lobster mixture.
  6. If desired, place a lettuce leaf in each bun before adding the lobster.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious lobster rolls!
