Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 46 lemons)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the water and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool.
  2. Once cooled, stir in the freshly squeezed lemon juice, lemon zest, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and place it in the freezer. After 30 minutes, use a fork to stir and scrape the mixture to break up any ice crystals.
  4. Return to the freezer and repeat the stirring every 30 minutes until the sorbet is fully frozen and fluffy, about 2 to 3 hours.
  5. Once ready, scoop into bowls and serve immediately. Enjoy your refreshing lemon sorbet!
