A classic Key Lime Pie with a tangy lime filling and buttery graham cracker crust.

- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 4 large egg yolks
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 3/4 cup fresh key lime juice
- 1/2 teaspoon lime zest
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- Lime slices for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden. Remove and let cool.
- In a large bowl, whisk together egg yolks, sweetened condensed milk, lime juice, lime zest, and salt until smooth.
- Pour the lime mixture into the cooled crust and bake for an additional 10 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool completely.
- In another bowl, whip heavy cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
- Spread or pipe the whipped cream over the cooled pie. Garnish with lime slices.
- Refrigerate the pie for at least 3 hours before serving to allow it to set.
Notes
- For the best flavor, use fresh key limes if possible.
- You can substitute regular limes if key limes are unavailable, but the flavor will differ slightly.
- This pie can be made a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
