- 4 salmon fillets
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and olive oil.
- Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper, then place them in a large zip-top bag or shallow dish.
- Pour the honey garlic mixture over the salmon, making sure each fillet is well coated.
- Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
- Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat.
- Remove salmon from the marinade (reserving the marinade) and place on the grill or in a baking dish.
- Cook salmon for 4-5 minutes per side, or until it flakes easily with a fork.
- In a small saucepan, bring the reserved marinade to a boil and let it simmer for 5 minutes to thicken.
- Drizzle the thickened sauce over the cooked salmon and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinade.
- Serve with steamed vegetables or over rice for a complete meal.
- This recipe can also be made with other fish like tilapia or cod.
