Description
A refreshing and icy twist on the classic margarita, perfect for hot summer days or festive gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups ice
- 1 1/2 ounces tequila
- 1 ounce triple sec
- 1 ounce lime juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1 tablespoon simple syrup (optional, to taste)
- Salt for rimming the glass (optional)
- Lime wedges for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare your glass by rimming it with salt. To do this, rub a lime wedge around the rim and then dip it into a plate of salt.
- In a blender, combine the ice, tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and simple syrup (if using).
- Blend on high speed until smooth and slushy.
- Taste and adjust sweetness with more simple syrup if desired.
- Pour the frozen margarita into the prepared glass and garnish with a lime wedge.
Notes
- For a fruit-flavored margarita, add fresh or frozen fruit like strawberries, mango, or watermelon to the blender.
- Adjust the amount of ice depending on your desired consistency; more ice will make it thicker.
