Instructions
- In a bowl, marinate the chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat.
- Remove chicken from buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge in the flour mixture, pressing to adhere.
- Fry chicken in hot oil until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Toast the hamburger buns lightly in the same oil if desired.
