- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8-inch square baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt.
- Add the melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped pecans.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar if desired, cut into squares, and serve.
Notes
- For a festive twist, add pumpkin spice to the batter.
- Feel free to substitute nuts with your favorite mix-ins like dried cranberries or marshmallows.
