  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 8 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • Lettuce, tomato, and onion for toppings
  • 2 cups of coleslaw mix
  • 1/2 cup of mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into 8 equal patties.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your desired doneness.
  4. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.
  5. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the coleslaw by combining coleslaw mix, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix well and set aside.
  6. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on each bun and topping with lettuce, tomato, and onion.
  8. Serve the burgers with a side of coleslaw and watermelon slices for a refreshing dessert.

Notes

  • Feel free to customize your burgers with your favorite toppings and condiments.
  • You can also prepare the coleslaw a day in advance to save time on the day of your gathering.
  • If you prefer, you can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
