  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Red Bean Paste
  • 1/4 cup Cornstarch

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine sweet rice flour, water, and sugar. Stir until well mixed.
  2. Pour the mixture into a heatproof dish or a silicone mold.
  3. Steam the mixture over boiling water for about 20-30 minutes, or until it becomes firm and translucent.
  4. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  5. Once cool, dust a clean surface with cornstarch to prevent sticking.
  6. Transfer the steamed cake to the cornstarch-dusted surface and cut it into small squares or desired shapes.
  7. Take a piece of the cake, flatten it in your palm, and place a small amount of red bean paste in the center.
  8. Fold the edges over the filling and roll it into a ball or shape it as desired.
  9. Optional: Roll the finished dessert in sesame seeds for added flavor.
