  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the breaded chicken and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Transfer the chicken to a baking dish. Pour marinara sauce over each piece and sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  8. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  9. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to coat with the garlic butter. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  10. Serve the chicken parmesan hot with buttery garlic spaghetti on the side, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add Italian seasoning to the breadcrumbs.
  • You can use store-bought marinara sauce or make your own.
  • Feel free to use whole wheat spaghetti for a healthier option.
