- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 ounces spaghetti
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Dredge each chicken breast in flour, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the breaded chicken and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking dish. Pour marinara sauce over each piece and sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to coat with the garlic butter. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the chicken parmesan hot with buttery garlic spaghetti on the side, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add Italian seasoning to the breadcrumbs.
- You can use store-bought marinara sauce or make your own.
- Feel free to use whole wheat spaghetti for a healthier option.
