Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 racks Pork Ribs
  • 1/2 cup BBQ Rub
  • 1 cup Apple Juice
  • 1 cup BBQ Sauce
  • 2 cups Wood Chips (Hickory or Applewood)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
  2. Remove the membrane from the back of the pork ribs for better flavor absorption.
  3. Generously apply the BBQ rub on both sides of the ribs.
  4. Place the ribs in the smoker, bone side down, and add wood chips to the smoker box.
  5. Smoke the ribs for 3 hours, maintaining a consistent temperature.
  6. After 3 hours, wrap the ribs tightly in aluminum foil and pour apple juice inside the foil packet.
  7. Return the wrapped ribs to the smoker and cook for an additional 2 hours.
  8. Unwrap the ribs and brush a generous amount of BBQ sauce on both sides.
  9. Place the ribs back in the smoker for another 30 minutes to set the sauce.
  10. Remove the ribs from the smoker and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the ribs overnight with the BBQ rub.
  • Experiment with different wood chips for varying smoke flavors.
  • Always let the meat rest after cooking for better juiciness.
