- 12 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
- 1 cup mixed nuts (almonds, pistachios, walnuts), roughly chopped
- 1 cup dried fruits (dates, apricots, figs), chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 cup edible gold or silver leaf (optional)
- Parchment paper for lining
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water, stirring until smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in the ground cardamom and sea salt.
- Spread the melted chocolate evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
- Sprinkle the chopped nuts and dried fruits over the chocolate, pressing them gently to adhere.
- If desired, add edible gold or silver leaf for a luxurious touch.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until the chocolate is completely set.
- Once set, break into pieces and serve or store in an airtight container.
