Description

This quick and easy Air Fryer Chicken Parmesan is a delicious dinner idea that is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, topped with marinara sauce and melted cheese.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Flatten the chicken breasts to an even thickness using a meat mallet.
  4. Coat each chicken breast in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing down to adhere the crumbs.
  5. Spray both sides of the coated chicken with cooking spray.
  6. Place the chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown.
  7. In the last 2 minutes of cooking, spoon marinara sauce over each chicken breast and top with mozzarella cheese.
  8. Continue cooking until the cheese is melted.
  9. Serve warm with additional marinara sauce on the side.
