A delightful dish combining crispy rice topped with a spicy tuna mix, perfect as an appetizer or a main course.
Ingredients

- 1 cup Sushi rice
- 1 1/4 cups Water
- 2 tablespoons Rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- for frying Vegetable oil
- 8 ounces Fresh tuna, diced
- 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce
- for garnish Green onions, sliced
- for garnish Sesame seeds
Instructions
- Rinse sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Combine rice and water in a rice cooker and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Once cooked, transfer rice to a bowl and mix with rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Let cool.
- Press the cooled rice into a flat layer in a baking dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
- Once chilled, cut the rice into rectangular pieces.
- Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry the rice pieces until golden brown and crispy on both sides. Drain on paper towels.
- In a bowl, combine diced tuna, mayonnaise, and sriracha sauce. Mix until well combined.
- Top each crispy rice piece with a spoonful of the spicy tuna mixture.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, you can sprinkle additional sriracha on top of the spicy tuna.
- If you prefer a milder version, adjust the amount of sriracha to taste.
