- 2 large chicken breasts (cut into strips)
- 1 cup cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs (beaten)
- 2 cups cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)
- 1 teaspoon teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon teaspoon paprika
- for frying vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup cup honey
- 1/4 cup cup yellow mustard
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a shallow bowl, mix together flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs until well combined.
- In a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs.
- Dip each chicken strip first into the flour mixture, then into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the chicken strips in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- For the honey mustard dipping sauce, whisk together honey and yellow mustard in a small bowl until smooth.
- Serve the crispy chicken fingers hot with honey mustard sauce on the side.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken strips in buttermilk for 1-2 hours before breading.
- Feel free to add your favorite spices to the breadcrumb mixture for a custom flavor.
