Ingredients
Scale
- 4 slices of bread (thick-cut recommended)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- Non-stick cooking spray
- Maple syrup and powdered sugar for serving (optional)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated well. Allow any excess to drip off.
- Spray the air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Place the coated bread slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to work in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
- Air fry the bread slices at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes. Flip the slices halfway through to ensure even cooking.
- Once golden and crispy, remove the French toast from the air fryer and serve immediately with maple syrup and powdered sugar if desired.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, consider using brioche or challah bread.
- Adjust the cooking time based on your air fryer model, as some may cook faster than others.
- Feel free to add toppings such as fresh fruit, whipped cream, or nut butter.
