Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large potatoes (Russet or Yukon Gold recommended)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Wash and peel the potatoes, then slice them thinly using a mandoline or a sharp knife. Aim for uniform thickness to ensure even cooking.
- In a large bowl, toss the potato slices with olive oil, salt, and any optional seasonings you choose.
- Arrange the potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding for the best crispiness.
- Air fry the chips for 10-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. Keep an eye on them towards the end to avoid burning.
- Once golden and crispy, remove the chips from the air fryer and allow them to cool slightly. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired, and serve.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, soak the potato slices in cold water for 30 minutes before drying and oiling.
- Experiment with different seasonings to customize your chips, such as cheese powder, chili powder, or lemon zest.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
