This crispy air fryer chicken parmesan is a healthier twist on the classic dish, served alongside golden spaghetti for a complete meal.

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 8 ounces spaghetti
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, dried Italian herbs, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each chicken breast in the beaten eggs, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.
- Place the coated chicken in the air fryer basket. Spray lightly with olive oil.
- Cook in the air fryer for 12-15 minutes, turning halfway, until golden brown and cooked through.
- While the chicken is cooking, cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and toss with olive oil and a pinch of salt.
- In the last few minutes of cooking the chicken, spoon marinara sauce over each piece and top with shredded mozzarella.
- Return to the air fryer for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted.
- Serve the crispy chicken parmesan over a bed of golden spaghetti, garnished with fresh basil if desired.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, consider double coating the chicken.
- Feel free to use whole wheat or gluten-free breadcrumbs for a healthier option.
- Adjust the amount of marinara sauce and cheese according to your preference.
