Cold Brew Coffee: 5 Reasons You’ll Love This Refreshing Drink

  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

Cold brew coffee is a smooth, refreshing coffee drink made by steeping coarsely ground coffee beans in cold water for an extended period of time. This method results in a rich flavor profile and less acidity than traditional brewing methods.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Coarsely ground coffee
  • 4 cups Cold water

Instructions

  1. In a large jar or pitcher, combine the coarsely ground coffee and cold water.
  2. Stir gently to ensure all the coffee grounds are saturated.
  3. Cover the jar or pitcher and let it steep at room temperature or in the refrigerator for 12 to 24 hours.
  4. After steeping, strain the coffee through a fine-mesh sieve or coffee filter into another container to remove the grounds.
  5. Serve the cold brew coffee over ice, diluted with water or milk to taste.

Notes

  • Cold brew concentrate can be diluted with equal parts water or milk for a smoother taste.
  • Store any leftover cold brew coffee in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
