Description
Cold brew coffee is a smooth, refreshing coffee drink made by steeping coarsely ground coffee beans in cold water for an extended period of time. This method results in a rich flavor profile and less acidity than traditional brewing methods.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup Coarsely ground coffee
- 4 cups Cold water
Instructions
- In a large jar or pitcher, combine the coarsely ground coffee and cold water.
- Stir gently to ensure all the coffee grounds are saturated.
- Cover the jar or pitcher and let it steep at room temperature or in the refrigerator for 12 to 24 hours.
- After steeping, strain the coffee through a fine-mesh sieve or coffee filter into another container to remove the grounds.
- Serve the cold brew coffee over ice, diluted with water or milk to taste.
Notes
- Cold brew concentrate can be diluted with equal parts water or milk for a smoother taste.
- Store any leftover cold brew coffee in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
