This rich and creamy chocolate ice cream is perfect for chocolate lovers. Made with simple ingredients, it’s easy to whip up at home and requires no ice cream maker!

- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract until well combined and smooth.
- If using, melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl or over a double boiler until smooth. Stir into the chocolate mixture until fully incorporated.
- Pour the mixture into a large freezer-safe container and cover tightly.
- Freeze for about 4-6 hours, or until the ice cream is firm. Stir every 30 minutes for the first 2 hours to help incorporate air and improve texture.
- Once frozen, scoop and serve the chocolate ice cream in bowls or cones.
