- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for about 3-5 minutes to reduce slightly.
- Stir in the heavy cream, thyme, and basil. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Add the Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
- Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, coating them in the cream sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy!
