Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for about 3-5 minutes to reduce slightly.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream, thyme, and basil. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Add the Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
  7. Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, coating them in the cream sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy!
