Description
Juicy and flavorful, this classic cheeseburger is a crowd-pleaser that brings together a perfectly cooked beef patty, melted cheese, and all your favorite toppings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- Lettuce leaves
- Tomato slices
- Onion slices
- Pickles
- Ketchup
- Mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the grill or stovetop skillet over medium-high heat.
- Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing up while cooking.
- Season both sides of the patties with salt and pepper.
- Cook the patties on the grill or skillet for about 3-4 minutes on one side.
- Flip the patties and place a slice of cheese on top of each patty. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the patty is cooked to your desired doneness.
- Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly golden.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on the bottom half of each bun, followed by lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, ketchup, and mustard.
- Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a smoky flavor, add a dash of smoked paprika to the beef before forming the patties.
- Customize your cheeseburger with your favorite toppings like avocado, bacon, or BBQ sauce.
