- 2 cans (16.5 oz each) refrigerated cinnamon rolls
- 4 cups diced apples (about 4 medium apples)
- 1 cup caramel sauce, divided
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
- Whipped cream for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine diced apples, 1/2 cup of caramel sauce, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Mix well and set aside.
- Open the cans of cinnamon rolls and separate them. Roll each cinnamon roll out into a flat circle and layer them in the prepared baking dish, creating a base.
- Spread half of the apple mixture over the cinnamon roll layer. Drizzle half of the remaining caramel sauce over the apples.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Spread half of this mixture over the apple layer.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining cinnamon rolls, the apple mixture, caramel sauce, and cream cheese mixture.
- Top with chopped pecans if using.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the cinnamon rolls are golden and cooked through.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before serving. Drizzle with additional caramel sauce and serve with whipped cream if desired.
