  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons yeast
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, melted butter, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add mashed potatoes and mix until combined.
  3. Gradually add flour, salt, and mix until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. In a skillet, sauté chopped onion and minced garlic until translucent. Add cooked ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and set aside to cool.
  6. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into equal pieces. Roll each piece into a flat circle.
  7. Place a spoonful of the beef mixture in the center of each circle. Fold the dough over the filling and seal the edges.
  8. Place the rolls seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush the rolls with beaten egg.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
