Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 beef steaks (ribeye or sirloin)
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the beef steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the steaks to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached. Remove from the skillet and let rest.
  4. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and sliced onions. Cook over medium heat until onions are caramelized, about 10-15 minutes.
  5. Add minced garlic and soy sauce (if using) to the onions and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Slice the rested steaks and serve them topped with the caramelized onions. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.

Notes

  • For added flavor, marinate the steaks in your favorite marinade for a few hours before cooking.
  • Adjust the cooking time based on the thickness of the steaks and desired doneness.
