- 2 beef steaks (ribeye or sirloin)
- 2 medium onions, sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
- Season the beef steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the steaks to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached. Remove from the skillet and let rest.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and sliced onions. Cook over medium heat until onions are caramelized, about 10-15 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and soy sauce (if using) to the onions and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Slice the rested steaks and serve them topped with the caramelized onions. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.
