  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

BBQ ribs that are tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. This recipe uses a dry rub and a homemade BBQ sauce that caramelizes beautifully during cooking. Perfect for summer cookouts or any time you crave some delicious ribs!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 racks of baby back ribs
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (homemade or store-bought)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better tenderness.
  4. Rub the spice mixture generously over both sides of the ribs.
  5. Place the ribs on the grill or in the oven. If using a grill, indirect heat is best. Cook for about 2.5 to 3 hours, until the meat is tender.
  6. Brush BBQ sauce on the ribs during the last 30 minutes of cooking to caramelize.
  7. Remove from heat and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the ribs in the dry rub overnight.
  • You can also finish the ribs under the broiler for a few minutes after grilling for extra caramelization.
