Ingredients
Scale
- 2 racks of baby back ribs
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (homemade or store-bought)
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper.
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better tenderness.
- Rub the spice mixture generously over both sides of the ribs.
- Place the ribs on the grill or in the oven. If using a grill, indirect heat is best. Cook for about 2.5 to 3 hours, until the meat is tender.
- Brush BBQ sauce on the ribs during the last 30 minutes of cooking to caramelize.
- Remove from heat and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the ribs in the dry rub overnight.
- You can also finish the ribs under the broiler for a few minutes after grilling for extra caramelization.
