- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend for juiciness)
- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- Lettuce, tomato, and onion for toppings
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, BBQ sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Form the mixture into four equal patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Once hot, place the patties on the grill.
- Grill the burgers for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and close the grill lid to melt the cheese.
- Remove the burgers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
- Serve the burgers on buns with lettuce, tomato, onion, and additional BBQ sauce if desired.
