Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend for juiciness)
  • 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, and onion for toppings

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, BBQ sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  2. Form the mixture into four equal patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Once hot, place the patties on the grill.
  4. Grill the burgers for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  5. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and close the grill lid to melt the cheese.
  6. Remove the burgers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
  7. Serve the burgers on buns with lettuce, tomato, onion, and additional BBQ sauce if desired.
