Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 6 slices of bacon
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Onion slices
  • Pickles
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Ketchup and mustard (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Form ground beef into 4 equal patties and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Cook bacon in a skillet until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  4. In the same skillet or on the grill, cook burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness. Add a slice of cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
  5. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
  6. Assemble the burgers: place a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, add the cooked patty with melted cheese, top with bacon, tomato, onion, pickles, and any additional condiments you prefer.
  7. Cover with the top bun and serve immediately.
