  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

Tender and juicy baby back ribs coated with a flavorful dry rub and finished with a sweet and tangy barbecue sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 racks baby back ribs
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor absorption.
  3. In a bowl, mix together brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  4. Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs, coating both sides evenly.
  5. Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, meaty side up. Cover with another piece of aluminum foil.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.
  7. Remove the ribs from the oven and preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  8. Brush the ribs with barbecue sauce on both sides and place on the grill.
  9. Grill for 5-7 minutes on each side, basting with more barbecue sauce, until caramelized and slightly charred.
  10. Remove from the grill, let rest for a few minutes, then cut into portions and serve.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the ribs in the spice rub overnight.
  • Feel free to use your favorite store-bought barbecue sauce or make your own.
