- 1 cup red and blue M&M’s
- 1 cup white frosting
- Fresh strawberries, halved (for decoration)
- Fresh blueberries (for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the red and blue M&M’s, reserving some for decoration.
- Spread the cookie dough evenly in the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool completely.
- Once cooled, spread the white frosting evenly over the top of the cookie cake.
- Decorate with fresh strawberries and blueberries to create the American flag design.
