Description
Deliciously juicy and perfectly cooked steaks made in the air fryer, ready in under 30 minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks, about 1 inch thick
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs (like rosemary or thyme) for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Pat the steaks dry with paper towels. This helps to sear the meat better.
- In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the steaks.
- Place the steaks in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd.
- Cook the steaks at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes for medium-rare, flipping halfway through. Adjust the time according to your preferred doneness.
- Once done, remove the steaks from the air fryer and let them rest for 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve immediately.
Notes
- For best results, use steaks that are at room temperature before cooking.
- Adjust cooking time based on the thickness of the steaks and your desired level of doneness.
- Use a meat thermometer for precise cooking: 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare, 140°F (60°C) for medium, and 150°F (65°C) for medium-well.
