Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground sausage (pork, turkey, or chicken)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried sage
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground sausage with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dried sage, red pepper flakes, and maple syrup if using. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into patties, about 1/4 inch thick. You should get around 8 patties.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes.
- Place the sausage patties in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd; you may need to cook in batches.
- Cook the patties at 400°F (200°C) for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 160°F or 70°C).
- Remove the patties from the air fryer and let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can customize the seasoning to your taste. Add herbs or spices that you enjoy!
- For a crispier texture, spray the patties lightly with cooking spray before air frying.
- These patties can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for longer storage.
