Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 large egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Non-stick cooking spray
- Chocolate sauce and whipped cream for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and chocolate chips together in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Add the powdered sugar to the chocolate mixture and stir until well combined.
- Whisk in the eggs, egg yolks, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Fold in the flour and salt until just combined.
- Spray ramekins with non-stick cooking spray and divide the batter evenly among them.
- Place the ramekins in the air fryer basket and cook for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are set but the center is still soft.
- Let the cakes cool for 1 minute, then carefully invert onto plates. Serve warm with chocolate sauce and whipped cream if desired.
Notes
- Make sure not to overcook the cakes; the center should be gooey.
- You can also use muffin tins instead of ramekins if you don’t have them.
- For a more intense chocolate flavor, use dark chocolate chips.
