  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and peel the potatoes. Slice them thinly using a mandoline or a sharp knife, aiming for about 1/8 inch thickness.
  2. Soak the potato slices in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. This will help them become crispier.
  3. Drain the potatoes and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.
  4. In a large bowl, toss the potato slices with olive oil, sea salt, garlic powder, and paprika until evenly coated.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (182°C).
  6. Arrange the potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding for even cooking.
  7. Cook for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even crisping. Keep an eye on them as cooking times may vary based on thickness.
  8. Once the chips are golden and crispy, remove them from the air fryer and let them cool on a wire rack.
  9. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve immediately.
